The Libby app team is saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a beloved artist and cultural icon, but perhaps just as importantly, she was a lifelong champion of literacy and the belief that everyone deserves access to books. Through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of children in communities across the globe and inspired generations of young readers to discover the joy of reading.

Today, we’re taking a quiet moment to read in Dolly’s memory and to celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

On this weeks update of “Fionna’s Patriotic Adventure”, Fionna Fayette™ chose to Discover Fayette PA by visiting The Cook Farm.

Colonel Edward Cook built this farmhouse around 1776 for his growing family, and growing agricultural site. He was well known for being a prominent surveyor and landowner. At the time his family had one of the largest landholdings in the area.

He was also a delegate to the Provincial Congress in Philadelphia in June 1776, and even helped draft an early declaration of independence.

The Cook house itself is known as one of the larger frontier homes in Western Pennsylvania, and was built primarily of limestone from the local area.

Be sure to look out for her next adventure in Fayette County, PA for the Fayette County, PA 250th.
