Proud to announce that more than $8.2 million in Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) funding is coming to Bedford, Fayette and Somerset counties, and Scottdale Borough!
These funds (shared through the Commonwealth Financing Authority and made available through proceeds from online gaming revenue) support projects that serve the public interest across Pennsylvania. Here in our communities, that means better roads and water systems, stronger emergency response, updated municipal equipment and improved parks and public facilities.

Bedford County
➡️ Bedford Borough: $225,000 to design the revitalization of Fort Bedford Park, addressing safety, accessibility and functionality improvements.
➡️ Bedford Borough (Bedford Borough Municipal Authority): $155,000 to purchase a backhoe wheel loader for infrastructure maintenance, emergency repairs and public works projects.
➡️ Bedford Township (Bedford County Airport Authority): $384,706 to finish an existing airport office shell with interior walls, lighting, restrooms, HVAC, flooring and utilities.
➡️ Bedford Township (Bedford Township Municipal Authority): $60,000 to purchase a mini excavator for water and sanitary sewer maintenance, repairs and emergency response.
➡️ Cumberland Valley Township (Centerville Area Municipal Authority): $37,210 to upgrade water treatment plant monitoring and equipment to improve treatment performance and regulatory compliance.
➡️ East St. Clair Township: $275,000 to purchase two dump trucks for snow removal, hauling and roadway maintenance.
➡️ Everett Borough: $139,591 to purchase and equip two replacement police vehicles to improve officer readiness and response times.
➡️ Everett Borough (Everett Borough Area Municipal Authority): $322,000 to replace approximately 1,750 feet of aging waterline and associated water services.
➡️ Hopewell Borough: $82,899 to construct a utility salt shed to protect road salt and other materials from weather and environmental contamination.
➡️ Juniata Township: $71,000 to purchase a new truck chassis to replace an aging municipal vehicle used for road maintenance and snow removal.
➡️ Liberty Township: $160,960 to purchase a skid loader, dump truck and trailer for road maintenance, stormwater management and public works operations.
➡️ Londonderry Township: $217,000 to purchase a new skid steer, attachments and trailer for highway, utility and right-of-way maintenance.
➡️ Saxton Borough: $212,822 to replace approximately 650 feet of aging galvanized waterline in order to reduce leaks and improve water service.
➡️ Saxton Borough: $137,668 to purchase and equip two replacement police interceptor vehicles.
➡️ Schellsburg Borough: $107,663 to replace approximately 380 feet of deteriorated storm sewer along Route 30 to address roadway undermining, sinkholes and flooding.
➡️ West Providence Township: $333,000 to purchase a new tandem dump truck with plow and spreaders for maintaining approximately 44 miles of township roads.
➡️ Pleasantville Borough (West St. Clair/Pleasantville Borough Municipal Water Authority): $644,000 to replace outdated water meters and install a remote tower-read system to modernize water system operations.
➡️ Woodbury Township: $500,000 to reconstruct municipal office and garage space and construct a detached salt shed following the loss of the township's office building.
Fayette County
➡️ Fayette County: $64,500 to purchase a multifunctional emergency management truck for hazardous materials response, technical rescue and other emergency operations throughout Fayette County.
➡️ Belle Vernon Borough: $250,000 to purchase a street sweeper and dump truck to support street cleaning, snow removal, park maintenance and sewer infrastructure upkeep.
➡️ Brownsville Borough: $150,000 to mill and repave seven streets, improving road safety and accessibility.
➡️ Bullskin Township (Pleasant Valley Water Authority): $119,230 to purchase a telehandler for water system maintenance, waterline installation and other construction work.
➡️ Dawson Borough: $80,175 to replace a collapsed storm pipe on Laughlin Street to restore drainage and eliminate roadway flooding.
➡️ Dunbar Borough (Dunbar Borough Township Sanitary Authority): $78,196 to install wastewater flow meters and a bioxide system to improve monitoring, odor control and sewer infrastructure protection.
➡️ Fairchance Borough: $125,293 to construct an ADA-compliant restroom and accessibility improvements at Fairchance Community Park.
➡️ Fayette City Borough: $225,000 to upgrade wastewater treatment equipment, including grit removal, UV disinfection and aeration systems.
➡️ Jefferson Township: $167,000 to purchase a wheel loader to improve the township's ability to load maintenance vehicles and respond to incidents.
➡️ Luzerne Township (Luzerne Township Sewer Authority): $73,512 to install Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) monitoring systems at three pump stations in the wastewater treatment plant for remote monitoring and faster emergency response.
➡️ Ohiopyle Borough: $189,673 to rehabilitate Sheridan and Grant Streets by installing sidewalks and ADA-compliant crosswalks to improve safety and accessibility.
➡️ Perryopolis Borough (Perryopolis Area Joint Authority): $105,531 to replace three aging wastewater sludge pumps, to improve plant efficiency, capacity and reliability.
➡️ Point Marion Borough: $43,877 to pave a community park walking trail and install ADA-compliant ramps for improved accessibility.
➡️ Upper Tyrone Township: $139,235 to purchase a new municipal work vehicle equipped for street maintenance and snow removal.
➡️ Vanderbilt Borough: $125,000 to replace Walnut Street sidewalks, install ADA-compliant curb ramps and improved crosswalks.
Somerset County
➡️ Allegheny Township: $200,000 to purchase three replacement vehicles and equipment for maintaining more than 30 miles of township roads.
➡️ Boswell Borough (Boswell Borough Municipal Authority): $30,000 to purchase modern leak detection equipment to identify waterline breaks more quickly and reduce water loss.
➡️ Central City Borough (Central City Water Authority): $200,000 to replace and install approximately 1,750 feet of waterline to improve water quality and reliability.
➡️ Confluence Borough: $300,000 to mill and pave Casselman and Railroad Streets, improving road conditions, safety and access.
➡️ Lower Turkeyfoot Township: $142,712 to purchase a non-CDL dump truck with plow and spreader to expand the township's snow removal and road maintenance capacity.
➡️ Milford Township: $162,750 to repair and resurface Greenhouse Road to improve traffic flow and public safety.
➡️ Quemahoning Township: $234,185 to purchase and equip a new multi-purpose truck for year-round road maintenance and snow removal.
➡️ Salisbury Borough: $200,000 to replace aging water reservoir equipment, including booster pumps, meters and an emergency backup generator.
➡️ Shade Township (Shade Central City Joint Authority): $150,000 to install a de-chlorination facility to meet discharge requirements and improve public health and safety.
➡️ Stonycreek Township (Shanksville Stonycreek Joint Sewer Authority): $196,874 to rehabilitate a sewage pumping station by replacing pumps, controls and related equipment.
➡️ Somerset Township (Somerset County Redevelopment Authority/Children's Aid Home): $279,945 to renovate the Children's Aid Home with new windows, security and alarm systems, exit signage, water fountains and shower improvements.
➡️ Somerset Township (Somerset County Redevelopment Authority/Laurel Arts): $43,951 to replace failing HVAC units and rework ductwork at the Laurel Arts Education & Dance Center.
Scottdale Borough
➡️ Scottdale Borough (Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department): $73,387 to purchase water rescue equipment, including dry suits, SCUBA gear and rescue respirators, to enhance emergency response capabilities.
