Many of these schools have been informed and we will continue our efforts to inform them. The current selected qualified schools are as follows.

- South Hardin
- East Marshall
- West Marshall
- Meskwaki Settlement School
- South Tama
- GMG
- Gladbrook-Reinbeck
- Colo-Nesco

We have 5-$500 scholarships to be awarded!

Reminder:
If you have a fire hydrant on your property, please keep a clear path from the street to the hydrant and maintain at least 3 feet of clearance around it. In an emergency, firefighters need to connect to the hydrant quickly — and a few extra seconds can save your life or your neighbors’ lives. Thank you for helping keep our community safe.

We are very grateful to Firefighters Stacy Hines and Dave Colin for taking time out of their busy schedules to help educate the children in our community about fire safety this week. Their dedication has been evident as they visited both the BCLUW Elementary school and Little Comets Daycare, sharing valuable lessons and promoting fire safety awareness among our youngest citizens.
