Merry Christmas from Engine 3. All the crews at station 3 chipped in, and with a donation from Texas Axemen Charities, were able to adopt a family this Christmas season. A shift delivered presents for the children this morning! Station 3 is always honored to be able to make a difference in our community.

Engine 3 in the early 1990's.

This was Station 3's second engine. It was a 1981 Grumman "Fire Cat" on a Hendrickson chassis with a 1250 GPM pump and a 750 gal. water tank.

It was previously Engine 1 and was painted white. It was repainted red when the department transitioned to red apparatus in the early 90's. This era proved to be a very busy time for Engine 3 both with fire duty and motor vehicle entrapments. During this era, Engine 3 was staffed with 2 personnel per shift and also responded to many fires and vehicle entrapments outside the city (as well as within the city) limits as it was one of the only "jaws" units in Montgomery County at that time. This era was the start of Station 3's notable reputation.

Station 3 houses a 49 Mack hose truck. This truck is no longer in service but it is cool to have a piece of fire department history sitting in the bay.
