A Boeing C-17A Globemaster III assigned to the Alaska Air National Guard's 176th/3rd Wing out of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska visited CXO today. This airlift is part of the depopulation mission of the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter. These helicopters will be brought into CXO for de-militarization and demolition. We are grateful to be able to help facilitate our Armed Forces in their efforts, and appreciate the teamwork that goes into planning an operation like this. This flight is the first of 8 planned airlifts out of Alaska to bring in 16 Apache Helicopters.
