Park and common area landscaping update -

We will have an answer tomorrow regarding an URGENT cutting and trimming of the park, etc.

The company we are replacing did not get it done and our new company doesn’t officially start until July 1. Our goal is to get the new landscaper to start early and ASAP.

Update on Wednesday as soon as we have one. Thanks for your patience.

The common areas will be mowed and maintained by our current landscape contractor every Saturday through the end of June.

A new company will be taking over on July 1 and has provided us a very responsive and predictable schedule that is part of the contract.

A law enforcement action has been taking place on La Salle Oaks. It appears to be a barricaded situation in a home and officers are on a loudspeaker giving commands to whomever is inside.

Police are also verifed as being stationed at the intersection of La Salle Woods and La Salle River - apparently as a backstop in case the person runs.

There doesn’t appear to be imminent danger but obviously everyone should be vigilant and careful, primarily on the street with childen for cars with distracted drivers and fast moving law enforcement moving about the neighborhood.

Please keep rumors to a minimum.

Lake vote update - PLEASE vote electronically on the lake proposition. Remember - this is a redux so we need everyone to vote if you haven’t done so since last fall.

You also received mail ballots. If you didn’t vote BY text or email, please take the 1-2 minutes to fill out the ballot - your name, address, a vote selection, and a signature. Thats it. You can mail it, drop it off at the IMC office, or message us and we will pick it up.

We will also have volunteers going door to door to people who haven’t voted yet so please be nice to them. AND VOTE

It’s a 1-2 minute process to get the lake into the hands of the MUD where they are ready with repair funds we have all already paid for in our property taxes. That doesn’t happen without your vote to transfer the lake. A vote to transfer means the lake improves and you save money. Voting no or not voting at all means the lake will get minimal maintenance at best and will cause US to raise HOA dues for years to come.

The new lake election texts and emails are going out today! It takes less than 10 seconds to make your selection

Remember - voting YES turns over the ownership of the big lake to MUD 42 so it can be repaired and modernized by all the Westlake neighborhoods and not just Westlake LaSalle. Bond money was already approved two years ago and waits for this election.

Please keep an eye out for your text and email TODAY. Vote YES and tell your neighbors. Thank you!
