The Extension Office is closed tomorrow.🌧️

All non essential offices are closed tomorrow to ensure the safety of our employees. Our essential public safety departments will function like normal. If you have any business with a county agency or department tomorrow (September 2) please check with them prior to going to their office.

We expect Tropical Storm Edouard to move out of the area fairly quickly tomorrow and the threat for excessive rain will diminish by the end of tomorrow.

What a fantastic way to end the summer! The Junior Master Gardener Program came by to teach our kiddos all about the ways to maintain a garden even through the HOT days of summer.

We honor the life and legacy of Mabel Helton, a true friend to the Montgomery County Extension Office. Mabel has served Montgomery County youth for nearly 50 years, both as a part of the Texas Extension Education Association and as a Montgomery County Fair supporter. She has shared her immense knowledge of sewing with generations of Montgomery County 4-H members and supported the scholarship program that many youth have benefitted from.

Thank you, Mabel, for a lifetime of service and community spirit. Rest in peace.
