Local businesses lifting up their community in the best way possible.

Outrun Hunger 2026, presented by H-E-B, is one for the books! More than 600 runners joined us and turned miles into meals, raising record-breaking funds that will provide hundreds of thousands of meals in the fight against hunger! A big thank you to the participants who came out to race, the sponsors who made it all possible, and the volunteers who brought the fun to life. This community runs toward the need, not away from it, and yesterday proved it once again. Together, we are stronger in the fight against hunger.

Everything's bigger in Texas. Including us.

According to recently released U.S. Census data, Montgomery County is now the 4th fastest growing county in the nation, with approximately 30,000 new neighbors between July 2024 and July 2025. Since 2020, our county has grown nearly 26%.

Growth is good news, but it also means the need grows with it. As our county adds families, more of our neighbors may find themselves one missed paycheck away from food insecurity: the inability to consistently access enough food for an active, healthy life.
