The National Weather Service is forecasting an increased risk of severe thunderstorms across Southeast Texas overnight into early Monday morning as a cold front moves through the region.

🌩️ What to Expect - Strong-to-severe thunderstorms are possible late tonight through early Monday. Damaging wind gusts, Large hail, and isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

📍 Conroe and much of the northern Houston region are currently in a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather.

✅ What You Can Do Now - Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather warnings overnight. Charge your cell phones and devices. Secure outdoor furniture and loose items. Review your family’s severe weather plan. Be prepared to move to an interior room on the lowest floor if a warning is issued.

The City of Conroe will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.

🌧️ A Flood Watch is in effect for Conroe and surrounding areas from late tonight through late Friday night. Multiple rounds of heavy rain could cause localized flooding on roads, near creeks, and in low-lying areas.

⛈️What to expect:
• Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms
• Heaviest rainfall expected Friday
• Rain chances likely to continue through the weekend

What this means:
A Flood Watch means flooding is possible — not that flooding is occurring right now. Stay alert and be prepared if conditions worsen.

⚠️Use caution:
• Never drive through flooded roads
• Allow extra travel time during heavy rain
• Stay weather aware and monitor local updates

We’ll continue monitoring conditions and share updates as needed. Stay safe, Conroe!
