Jasper County Emergency Services District # 4 is proud to offer an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Course beginning July 24, 2026 taught by Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).

Whether you are interested in serving your community as a firefighter or as a medical first responder, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skill needed to respond confidently during an Emergency.

Thank you Newton Volunteer Fire Department for the help!! We appreciate you guys!!

At 6:54pm, Newton responded to a call for a landing zone set up, on FM 1414, for a elderly male patient. Allegiance Ambulance and Burkeville First Responders were in scene upon arrival. Patient was transported per PHI Air Rescue to St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

3 firefighters and 3 trucks responded.
