The MCVFPA is saddened to hear of the Line of Duty Death of Fire Police Officer Todd Koch. Our thoughts are with Todd’s family, the Richlandtown Fire Co. and the entire Bucks County Fire Police community. RIP Todd.

It is with profound sadness that the Richlandtown Fire Company announces the Line of Duty Death (LODD) of Fire Police Officer Todd Koch.

Fire Police Officer Koch suffered a severe respiratory attack while responding to an emergency call, which led to cardiac arrest on Monday, March 9, 2026. Despite immediate and continued lifesaving efforts, Todd passed away as a result of this medical emergency.

Todd was a dedicated and valued member of the Richlandtown Fire Company and served the community with commitment and pride. His willingness to answer the call to help others reflects the selflessness that defines the fire service.

The members of the Richlandtown Fire Company extend their deepest condolences to Todd’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. His loss is felt deeply throughout our department and the community he faithfully served.

We respectfully ask the public to keep Todd’s family, as well as the members of the Richlandtown Fire Company, in your thoughts and prayers.

The MCVFPA extends its profound condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Corporal Tim O’Connor. We honor his career of unwavering dedication and the courageous leadership he provided to his department. May his legacy of service serve as a guiding light for the officers who continue his mission. We stand in solidarity with his loved ones and his department during this time of mourning. Rest in peace, Corporal O’Connor; your sacrifice and service are forever etched in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Telford Firecompany and North Penn Goodwill Service on the passing of James (Jim) Charles Thomas Sr.

Jim joined the Telford Fire Company back on December 12, 1978, and passed away on December 12, 2025; 47 years to the day. He joined as a firefighter, served as Secretary, Financial Secretary and participated in several committees. As he grew older he moved over from being a firefighter to becoming a Fire Police Officer.

It is with great sadness that the Perserverance Vol. Fire Co. of Souderton announces the passing of Life Member Edward "Pop" Staehle Sr. Ed proudly served the residents of Souderton Boro, Franconia & Hilltown Twp.'s for 40 years. During his service, he held various rolls, Firefighter, Fire Police Captain & Financial Secretary. Ed was also a lifelong member of Noth Penn Good Will Service of Souderton. Services & Visitation: Wed., Dec.17, 2025, viewing 6-8PM at Sadler Seuss Funeral Home in Telford, Thurs., Dec.18, 2025, viewing 10-11AM with service to follow at Sadler Seuss Funeral Home & internment to follow.
