CHAIRMAN AUSTERMAN:
With the recent news from President Donald J. Trump that we are on the verge of a peace deal with Iran, political pundits and are pushing a narrative that this potential deal and the efforts towards managing this conflict are being criticized by staunch conservative Republicans like our own Senator Ted Cruz. I am here to tell you that this is total BULL $}{!+. It is propaganda being fed to you by former right wing pundits turned backstabbers like Matt Drudge of the highly informative Drudge Report, who is just shy of one or two blows to the head from becoming as dangerous and stupid as Tucker Carlson.

Hear from our great senator from his podcast Verdict With Ted Cruz👇

CHAIRMAN AUSTERMAN:
I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. From the first patriots who’s blood was spilled at Lexington and Concord, to the 13 service members who died while serving in the current conflict with Iran, as we enjoy another 3 day weekend with the the freedom they died in service of providing to us, let us take a moment to remember their sacrifice.

CHAIRMAN AUSTERMAN:
Early voting for the Primary Runoff election is currently underway. Election Day is next Tuesday. Our local Elolf Elementary School WILL NOT be used as a polling site as has been the case in past election years. The nearest site for voting early or on Election Day is the Converse Community Event Center.

Trump Endorses Ken Paxton in Texas Senate Runoff

President Donald Trump has officially endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over longtime U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in one of the biggest Republican showdowns in the country.

Trump called Paxton “a true MAGA Warrior” and praised him for always delivering for Texas, while also taking a shot at Cornyn — saying the senator “was not supportive of me when times were tough.”

The endorsement comes just days before the May 26 runoff and could reshape a race that has turned into a fierce battle between two of the biggest names in Texas Republican politics.

Paxton celebrated the endorsement at a Collin County campaign rally, telling supporters:
“When he endorses, it has a tremendous impact.”

The crowd reportedly erupted in cheers and started dancing to “YMCA.”

CHAIRMAN AUSTERMAN:
In a recent ruling by the Texas State Supreme Court, all 9 justices said that the Democrat members of the Texas House of Representatives who fled the state in the middle of a legislative session can not be removed from office by the court.

Despite petitions filed by highly successful Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Governor Greg Abbott, who is a former state attorney general and state supreme court justice, seeking the court to remove these legislators, the court unanimously said ‘it’s not our problem’. However, one of the associate justices did acknowledge that the court could have taken action if they had been petitioned sooner, and that the court should be prepared to take action if this issue happens again in the future.

This is nothing but a pathetic judicial cop out, and another example of incompetence by Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock, the author of the opinion, who first showed that he doesn’t follow the law when he recently ruled that it was perfectly legal for the City of Dallas to deprive armed citizens who are licensed their right to exercise carrying in a city park, despite the law saying no local, county, or state government can prohibit people from lawfully carrying fi****ms in or on land owned or leased by said government that is open to the public.

This is NOT the conduct of true Republican judges, whom are supposed to follow the law as written, not look for loopholes. And, as a ranking member of this party, I am not scared to call out this hypocrisy.

Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock said penalties imposed during the 2025 walkout “barely scratched the surface” of the House’s constitutional authority.
