🐦 Celebrate Bird Day at the Library!

Did you know that May 4th is Bird Day? This special day was first established in 1894 by Charles Almanzo Babcock, a Superintendent from Pennsylvania. It was the very first holiday in the United States dedicated to celebrating birds and encouraging bird conservation as an important value!

To celebrate, we’re featuring a delightful collection of children’s books all about our feathered friends! From colorful picture books to fun and educational reads, these stories help young readers learn about birds, nature, and the world around them.

Stop by the library and pick out a bird book to enjoy. Who knows, it might just inspire a new favorite feathered friend!

National Paranormal Day is on May 3rd every year, and this year we’re celebrating with a hauntingly good collection of ghost stories for readers of all ages! Whether you love eerie mysteries, chilling thrillers, or not-so-scary tales with a ghostly twist, we’ve got something waiting for you.
