This is why your voice matter at the local level. There were 15+ people that showed to object to more homes being built on W. Cox Ferry Road. Thanks to the 'concerned neighbor' who got the word out by mailers and fliers bringing awareness to the annexation proposal. Conway City Councilman William Goldfinch IV stated that, "a lot of the annexation plans that were passed 30 years ago, I would not have voted for them. Simply because of the extra costs to the City for the dump truck services or to hire more police officers."

Property owners in Conway are looking to annex and re-zone about 40 acres of land along West Cox Ferry Road near Highway 544.

Attention voters in Andrews and Hemingway!!! Since redistricting lines are being drawn based off the 2021 Census, I have an important question. For Andrews voters, do you feel like you should be included in the 7th Congressional District which is represented by Congressman Tom Rice and not split between his district and the 6th Congressional District which is represented by Congressman Clyburn?

For Hemingway voters, do you feel like you should also be included in the 7th Congressional District and not in the 6th CD?

This is important because the way the lines are currently drawn for the 7th CD, Andrews is split between Williamsburg County and Georgetown County. In my opinion this is diluting the votes of minorities in particular at the ballot box because it needs to be in one Congressional District.

Thanks in advance for your feedback. If you want to share your comments privately, please email me at [email protected].

The decision by Governor Henry McMaster was made only to please his "base" and not the constituents of South Carolina. The fact of the matter is by ending the PEUC (Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation) program and other federal unemployment programs that greatly benefited voters in the State during an unprecedented economic crisis is NOT going to fix the problems with our workforce and getting people employed.

What disturbs me is the reason why businesses are starting to pick up is because of the INFLUX in their income due the PEUC program and more importantly MILLIONS of workers were INVOLUNTARILY laid off because of the pandemic.

The next disturbing thing I discovered is you have human resource professionals, CEOs, and other employers making postings about voters being "LAZY" and praising the Governor for this "bad faith" act to opt-out of the program when they are the same ones seeming to "BEG" for employees to work for them. I can guarantee you that these same employers that are BEGGING for employees are the same ones that had NO INTENTION on BRINGING BACK the GREAT WORKERS they had IN THE FIRST PLACE.

At the end of the day by Henry McMaster ending the program EARLY is not going to INCENTIVISE anyone to work for YOU when they could work for THEMSELVES. What are employers doing in the meantime to gain the employees they desire? Throwing signing bonuses at people to get a paying low salary is not doable. I advise everyone to look through the list of disparaging comments on Henry McMaster's page and IDENTIFY these people.

Also remember that ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES and we must hold ALL elected officials ACCOUNTABLE that make "bad faith" decision on behalf of SC voters.

If want to have Governor Henry McMaster rescind his executive order to SC DEW Executive Director Daniel Ellzey email McMaster at [email protected] and let him know by making this decision how it affects your livelihood.

Signed,

CEO NeSmith Political Consulting Firm
