A flash flood watch is in effect for our area, as hot and humid weather conditions are expected to give rise to thunderstorms with heavy rain this afternoon. Severe thunderstorms may develop, and many brooks and streams are already at elevated levels following the recent heavy rainfall. Additional heavy rainfall may affect roadways, including those previously impacted by storms. Please be cautious in flood-prone areas and avoid driving through flooded roadways.

The Town of Conway is seeking an at-large member to serve on the Capital Improvement Program Committee. This position is open to Conway residents and the intent of the committee, pursuant to RSA 674:5, is to prepare and amend each budget cycle, a recommended program of municipal capital improvement projects projected over a period of at least six years. The sole purpose and effect of the Capital Improvements Program Committee shall be to assist the Board of Selectmen and Budget Committee in the consideration of the annual budget.

The appointment will be made at the June 23, 2026 Board of Selectmen meeting.

pre-planned scheduled outage on this day, with all customers previously being notified.
June 18, 2026 - (1) Eversource crew will complete any clean up along with the last
underground service work needed from existing pole # 2/4 (Note : This day should
complete all necessary work in accordance with this work order.)

As you may be aware, The National Weather Service in Gray, Maine has issued a flood warning for the S**o River in Conway. As of the 12:45pm update today, the river is expected to reach the Action Stage of 7 feet at 2:00am tomorrow morning and crest at 8:00am Saturday 5/30/26 at 9 feet, Minor Flood Stage. These levels and the timing are only predictions and will be updated on the NWS. At this point we don’t anticipate any road closures, although that could change.
Another hazard tonight into Saturday will be strong easterly wind gusts. Along the coast and inland to the I-93 corridor winds may gust up to 50 mph. Now that trees have leafed out, power outages will be possible.
The campgrounds along the S**o have been visited updated and are taking appropriate precautions/actions for high water.
