MISSING PERSON - HCPD SEEKING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Horry County Police Department is seeking information regarding the disappearance of Mrs. Cyrena Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was reported missing on May 19, 2026, by her sister, who last spoke with her on May 12. Mrs. Anderson failed to report to work on May 14 and was reportedly last seen with her husband, Danny L. Osborne, at their residence in the Forestbrook area of Horry County. Mr. Osborne told investigators that Mrs. Anderson gathered her belongings and left their residence during the early morning hours of May 13, 2026. However, investigators have since discovered evidence that contradicts his account.

Mr. Osborne is currently in custody with the Wilmington Police Department on unrelated charges. He drives a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and is known to frequent Brunswick and New Hanover counties in North Carolina. Investigators believe Mr. Osborne traveled through the Supply and Bolton communities along Highway 211 on May 15, 2026. Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact the Horry County Police Department Tip Line at 843-915-8477 (TIPS).

LONGS MAN SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS IN PRISON FOR 2025 FATAL SHOOTING

CONWAY, SOUTH CAROLINA – Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson announced that on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, a Longs man pleaded guilty to a fatal 2025 shooting.

Jabari Akim Coffee, 22, of Longs, pleaded guilty Wednesday to voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Isaiah Conner, also of Longs, said Seth Oskin, the senior assistant solicitor, who, along with Jim Stanko, violent crimes prosecutor, prosecuted the case for the 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

The Honorable Circuit Court Judge David P. Caraker, Jr. presided over the hearing and sentenced Coffee to 20 years in prison. Voluntary manslaughter is a most serious violent offense, which carries a maximum of 30 years in prison. Coffee must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for supervised release. He will also be eligible for life in prison if he ever commits another violent offense.

On January 23, 2025, Isaiah Conner was shot multiple times by Coffee after an altercation about prior dealings and a drug transaction. Mr. Conner died on March 1, 2025, from his injuries.

"This was a difficult case to prosecute and understand. There was no crime scene due to the victim being shot and taken to the hospital immediately after. Further, there was not a whole lot of evidence that allowed the Horry County Police Department to figure out what happened,” Oskin said. “However, the police diligently searched for answers in this case. They were able to confront the defendant with their findings, which led him to confess to what he did and why he did it. We have said it before, but guns do not solve problems. They frequently cause problems like this. One young man is dead, and another is going to prison for the rest of his younger years. Street justice is not the answer, whether you think it is or not. We are thankful to Mr. Conner's family for coming to court and giving their impact statement. Further, they agreed with the plea offer, and their statement ensured that the court imposed the sentence that they did. No number of years is equitable when a loved one is lost. Here, the family of Mr. Conner feels that justice has been served, and that is ultimately what matters most."
