"What does a CASA volunteer actually do?"

More than most people realize.

CASA Volunteers invest time and energy into reviewing case files, speaking with family members, visiting with the children, gathering school or medical records, writing recommendations, attending court hearings, and more... all to make sure just one child has someone in their corner. Every child deserves that.

May is National Foster Care Month

At any given time there are approximately 200 children in foster care within our program area. Each child having their own story to tell. Each child needing a consistent, caring adult in their corner.

Our CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are not overlooked.

The forensic interview is the heart of our work at the Children's Advocacy Center. Every child who sits down with our specially trained interviewers is treated as a victim - never interrogated.

Our goal is always to make them feel safe enough to tell their story, in their own words, at their own pace.

On International Family Day, we honor the non-offending parents, grandparents, and caregivers who stand by their children through the hardest moments, helping to provide them with love, safety, and protection.

When a child walks through our doors, their family does too, and we are here for all of them. No family should navigate hardship alone.
