Imagine Conway

Imagine Conway Imagine Conway is an initiative of the City of Conway, AR, led by members of the Office of Community Development and the Department of Planning.

Imagine Conway seeks to develop a city of viable communities and unique character areas by promoting integrated approaches to planning and development. All policies, programs, and projects arising from Imagine Conway will be focused on creating appealing living environments, expanded economic opportunities, and abundant recreational options throughout Conway. The primary means towards this end is

the development and nurturing of partnerships among all levels of government, private and non-profit sectors, and the public-at-large. By adhering to a bottom-up, community-led approach to planning, Imagine Conway will encourage empowerment of local residents, stimulate the creation of community-based organizations, and enhance the management skills of existing organizations so they can achieve greater production capacity. Our home on the web, ImagineConway.com, serves as a repository of information about this initiative and of each of its individual projects –– those which are complete, those which are ongoing, and those which are on deck. This website will provide visitors an opportunity to learn more about what’s in store for the future of Conway, the information necessary to make sound recommendations for action, and the ability to become involved formally, if desired.

Please support the Safe Streets Act (H.R. 2468/S. 2004) by letting your Congressmen know that you want Complete Streets throughout the US. Ensure that pedestrians, bicyclists, and mass transit options become formal planning considerations for all new Federal and state roadways.

Over 600 towns, regions and states have already adopted local Complete Streets policies. Now, a bill in Congress would help cities across the country make America's streets safer for everyone who uses them.
