Unsure of what a phishing email looks like? Well here you go!

This email has several clues that the sender is actually trying to scam you.
It is full of grammatical errors. It is trying to make you reply quickly. It wants you to communicate with them somewhere else. These are all red flags that should make you slow down and confirm some information before replying. Like does the sender exist, do they work for who they say they do, and is the offer real. Check these things by searching for the company and contacting them directly. Do not use information from the email to contact anyone.

Tomorrow, April 10, 2026, the UCA Police Department, in coordination with the Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Little Rock Police Department Search and Rescue Canine Unit, the Conway Fire Department, and the National Weather Service, will conduct a training exercise in the area of the Jewel Moore Nature Reserve and the ropes course.

During this time, you may notice an increased presence of emergency personnel and vehicles in the area. Please do not be alarmed.

The exercise will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Parking Lot 509 (the gravel lot next to the beach volleyball courts) will serve as a staging area and will be closed during the exercise. We ask members of the campus community to avoid both the exercise and staging areas.

If you have any questions, please contact the UCA Police Department at 501-450-3111.

Hello, Bears!

There is a text scam circulating that references unpaid traffic fines and threatens a warrant if it isn't taken care of. There is a link to "resolve it immediately."
