This is your chance to help Conway create a Community Forest Plan. See you there!

The City of Conway is creating a Community Forest Plan to help sustainably manage our trees and forests over the next 20 years.

Residents are invited to attend a Community Forest Plan Meeting on Tuesday, July 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Conway City Hall.

This meeting is an opportunity to share what you want to see for the future of Conway’s trees, provide feedback on draft recommendations, and visit with City staff and other community members.

Visit our blackberry patch behind the library. Feel free to pick what you need!
If the berries come off easily with a gentle tug, they're ready. If they don't want to let go, give them another day or two - unless you like 'em tart :)
Our blackberry patch was made possible by a donation from Conway Trees (Conway Tree Board) with help from the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and a kind patron who donated the plants.

You can learn how to properly care for trees and prepare to take the certified arborist exam at this workshop.

This workshop is designed to address exam topics that have historically shown to be more difficult to pass on ISA exams.

Here's another opportunity for all Faulkner County residents to get free trees!

Who wants free trees? We have a great opportunity for Faulkner County residents to order free trees online and then pick them up at the Faulkner County Extension Office on Wednesday, April 29.

What you'll get: These are bareroot seedling trees that will need to be planted as soon as possible after you pick them up. Planting directions will be provided.

The Arbor Day Foundation named Conway a 2025 Tree City USA in honor of its commitment to plant, grow, and maintain trees to benefit the community.

To earn Tree City USA recognition, a city must uphold four core standards including maintaining a tree board or department, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and participating in an Arbor Day celebration.

Michael did a great job cutting down his invasive Bradford pear tree earlier this month. He'll be getting a free native tree to replace it with this fall as part of our Bradford Pear Bounty Program.
