Dr. Oliver! 💙

Meet our latest Classroom Champion, Dr. Corey Oliver! You can find him at Courtway Middle School, where he teaches 7th grade English. When asked for just one word to describe him, his nominator chose ENTHUSIASTIC. Dr. Oliver is known for maintaining an exceptionally organized and clean environment where students feel safe and welcome.

Why he was nominated:
"He is consistently the first to arrive in the hallway each morning and the last to leave at the end of the day, demonstrating a strong commitment to his students and school community. He puts intentional effort into building meaningful rapport with students and consistently goes above and beyond to support their needs. He is kind, approachable, and makes a point to speak to every teacher and student in the hallway, fostering a positive and welcoming environment. As a result, he has created a classroom atmosphere that students are naturally drawn to—even those who are not assigned to him. He is an outstanding educator who genuinely cares about his students and their success, both academically and personally."

Ms. York! 💙

Say hello to Alissa York, our 6th grade Social Studies teacher at Courtway Middle School! Alissa is truly RADIANT. She acts as the invisible engine of the school—orchestrating events and powering announcements to ensure everything runs seamlessly, all while staying out of the spotlight.

Why she was nominated:
"I’m nominating Ms. York because she’s the heartbeat behind so much of what makes our school special. She pours her energy into everything... She doesn’t do it for recognition, but she deserves it. Her passion, humility, and constant behind-the-scenes dedication truly make a difference every single day."

Happy National Speech Pathologist Day! 🗣️✨
Today, we are celebrating the incredible Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who work across our district to give our students the power of communication. Our SLPs do so much more than help with speech; they empower students to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with the world around them.

Whether they are working on articulation, language skills, or using creative tools like themed obstacle courses to keep learning fun, their dedication to the "whole child" makes a massive impact every single day.

Join us in the comments to say a huge "thank you" to our amazing SLP team! 🙌
