Hello CES Tigers!
We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and welcoming you back to the greatest school on the planet. As we begin the process of reopening Conway Elementary, please be aware that several roads around the school remain closed. We ask that parents who transport their children allow more time for school drop-offs and pick-ups. We have worked closely with the City of Conway to devise a car rider pattern that will keep everyone safe and allow traffic to run smoothly. The city will also have officers throughout the route to assist with this effort. We do anticipate delays. Therefore, will begin unloading cars at 6:45 a.m. and will continue until students are in class. There will be no tardies this week. We ask for your patience, flexibility and support as we work to implement this temporary traffic pattern.
CES Temporarily Morning Traffic Pattern
All traffic should enter 12th Avenue from Main Street, turn left onto Snowhill Drive and left into the school driveway. Cars should pull all the way down the driveway (on the right) without leaving spaces between cars. Students should be ready to exit the car quickly once the car stops. Please begin exiting the drop-off line once your child has stepped away from the car. Cars should ONLY exit to the right onto 12th Avenue from the drop-off line.
CES Temporarily Afternoon Traffic Pattern
All traffic should enter 12th Avenue from Main Street, turn left onto Snowhill Drive and left into the school driveway. Upon entering the driveway, the traffic will split into 2 lines, as usual. Once the dismissal process begins, please pull to the number assigned to you by the teacher on duty. We ask that you encourage your child to load quickly and then begin exiting the driveway. Cars should ONLY exit to the right onto 12th Avenue from the drop-off line.
Walkers
Students are considered “walkers” if they live within walking distance of the school and are walking the entire way home. These students will follow the same procedures as before. Please note – there will be NO PARKING along 12th Avenue at all. Parents will also not be allowed to park in the staff parking lot and walk to pick up a child from the sidewalk or gym. All parents transporting student will need to be in the car rider line.
