We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Faulkner County Halloween Festival! Join us for a night of spooky fun hosted by the Faulkner County Judge's Office, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, Conway Police Department, Conway Fire Department, Conway Emergency Operations Center, Faulkner County Historical Society, Faulkner County Museum, Faulkner County Office of Emergency Management, the Faulkner County Emergency Squad, and more!

This thrilling event will feature a spooky movie in a graveyard, along with food, games, and plenty of candy! Come celebrate with us on October 28, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Faulkner County Courthouse Complex, located at 801 Locust St., Conway, Arkansas. All activities are free and open to the public! Don’t miss this fantastic night of celebration!

We have put together a team to participate in the Float with the Flame Relay benifiting Special Olympics Arkansas! Help us meet our fundraising goal.

How the relay works!

Each team member will participate in the relay. Jumping on an innertube for their leg of the race and traveling down their lane of the swimming pool to tag their teammate all while holding the inflatable torch!

🌊🚤 Successful River Rescue 🚤🌊

On Saturday night, our team answered the call for help from a couple of fishermen stranded on the Arkansas River after their boat motor was knocked off by an unknown obstacle in the water. We launched our River Boat from the Palarm Creek boat launch and worked our way to their reported location. We met up with a Pulaski County deputy boat and located their vessel.

We secured their boat and brought them on board, then towed their boat back to the Little Maumel River boat launch near the I-430 bridge.

Once we got everyone safely ashore, our mission didn’t end there! We took the opportunity to conduct a valuable training session on night boat operations with some of our newer members who responded to the call. Ensuring everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills to operate safely on the river is a top priority for us.

Thank you to the Mayflower Fire Department, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department for their cooperation and support with this rescue.

🌕🏃‍♂️ What a fantastic weekend! Our Faulkner County Emergency Squad had the incredible opportunity to partner with the Faulkner County Amateur Radio Club at the Full Moon 25k and 50k race at Lake Sylvia! 🚨📡

We deployed our Mobile Communications unit, which is equipped with VHF, UHF, AWIN, and Amateur Radio capabilities — all powered by our onboard generator and backup batteries. With a pneumatic tower, we ensured our antennas were high enough to keep the channels clear and strong!

This year, we had over 400 enthusiastic runners hit the trails, and our team was on the ground, providing crucial communications throughout the event. We set up in the afternoon and stayed until the last runner crossed the finish line, which is usually around 4 AM the next morning! 🌌

This event wasn't just about the race; it was an invaluable opportunity for us to practice controlling communications and passing critical information between checkpoints. These skills are essential, especially during large-scale emergencies when traditional communication infrastructure may be compromised.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and to our amazing volunteers who made it all happen! 💪🚒

Update on Search Efforts

Today, our boat crews were deployed to assist with the search for 20-year-old Ashlynn Bocksnick and her six-week-old daughter, Lalynn Dream Williams, on the Arkansas River. Our crews covered several miles of the river alongside local and state agencies, using our specialized equipment and training to aid in the search.

We were joined by several teams from the American Scent Dog Association, a local K-9 Search and Rescue team with which we work and train regularly to prepare for searches like this one. We were able to help deploy six search dogs for both land and water efforts.

This operation requires careful coordination and determination, especially in the challenging heat.

Please keep Ashlynn, Lalynn, their loved ones, and all responders in your thoughts. We remain committed to supporting our partner agencies in this vital search until our mission is complete. Thank you for your support.

Please do not self-deploy to the Arkansas River search operation.
While we appreciate the community’s willingness to help, all personnel and resources must check in with Incident Command before entering the operational area. This ensures accountability, responder safety, and coordinated search efforts.
Uncoordinated self-deployment can create safety hazards, duplicate search efforts, and divert valuable resources away from the mission.
If you would like to assist, please check in with Incident Command at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Dardanelle.

🚤 **Rescue Update** 🚤

Last night, our dedicated boat crew sprang into action on the Arkansas River, south of Toad Suck, to assist a stranded boater whose motor had unexpectedly stopped working. We quickly launched our riverboat and successfully located the individuals, bringing them and their boat back safely to the ramp.

A crucial reminder for all our fellow boaters: **Always wear your life jacket!** Safety is key, and if you ever find yourself in a situation on the water, don’t hesitate to call for help. Our team is always ready to assist you and ensure you get home safely.
