Today, the FCDW gathered to discuss hunger in our county, and the additional harms to families and children being created since Republicans stripped SNAP benefits from our communities.

Hunger doesn't have to exist. We can choose leaders who prioritize treating our fellow Americans with dignity or we can choose leaders who not only ignore hunger, but create the conditions to make it harder and even more expensive just to feed our neighbors, our families, and our children.

This group of women has unanimously agreed to send group funds to combat hunger, spend volunteer hours packing meals for CAPCA Community Action Program for Central Arkansas, and brainstormed additional ideas so that we can try to give Faulkner County as much support as possible during this time of uncertainty.

You can feel the sheer determination of these Democratic Women to not allow our neighbors to be hurt by the recent actions of Republicans. Please join us in fighting for local families by reaching out here, or at the email address in the comments. If you need assistance, please contact us.

Academic friends, and others who have published original writing, you should check out this: A class action lawsuit is being filed against AI company, Anthropic to contest their pirating of the content of original authors. You can check the database to see if your works have been stolen (and AI's only business model is stealing the written work of others). I had two articles on the list. All you have to do to add your name to the list of potential claimants is fill out a few lines of information.

Representatives of the Faulkner County Democratic Party and Democratic Women visited with a lot of teachers at the 2025 Conway Public Schools Teacher Fair. Thank you, teachers for the hard work and enthusiasm you bring to our classrooms! A big thank you to the local businesses that generously contributed to our basket of treats we gave away as a door prize. Congratulations to Conway High School teacher Leslie Dolan, who won this fabulous basket of gifts!

Today is the day! Voters of Congressional District 2 will hold a town hall meeting to ask questions of our elected national leaders and express concerns about our current political conflict.

Little Rock First United Methodist Church
6:00-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 18

Of course, we are fairly sure that neither Senator nor Congressman Hill will show up. Nevertheless, the town hall will go on, thanks to the incredibly hard work of our FCDP Chair Teresa Huff and others, who have organized this event. Chris Jones will moderate. All questions and concerns will be delivered to our leaders' offices, regardless of whether they attend the event in person.

Please do your best to attend this event. We need a huge crowd of voters to show that we are serious about demanding answers to our questions about how we the taxpayers are being abused by our current government leaders. If you need a ride from Conway, please contact Pat Ramsey or join our carpool from FCDP headquarters, 700 Harkrider, at 4:45 p.m.

Let's have a crowd big enough to make the national news!

What a great group of ladies at the Pine Street CommUnity Museum today. Women Democrats rock. Even saw one of my high school teachers, Mrs. Simmons.
