Hwy 286 East Fire/Rescue

Hwy 286 East Fire/Rescue The Highway 286 East FD is an all volunteer department that was formed in 1979 in an unincorporated area of Faulkner County.

Our district starts at the east city limits of the City of Conway. We cover a suburban/rural residential area, with a growing number of businesses, churches, and day cares. We also cover a US highway, and an AR highway that are both heavily traveled daily. We provide fire supression, EMS first response, extrication, and minor technical rescue. We serve our citizens with a fleet of 2 engines, 1 tanker, 1 rescue, 1 heavy rescue, and 1 brush truck. We have 25 members with a command staff of 8.

Each year, Anheuser-Busch, in partnership with National Volunteer Fire Council, pauses beer production to can clean drinking water for the Emergency Drinking Water for Wildland Firefighters program. We are thankful to be one of the receiving fire departments this year. This water will ensure our members are staying safe and hydrated as they respond to long incidents or disasters such as wildfires. And thank you to Golden Eagle Beer for taking the time to deliver the water to our fire station!
