Due to inclement weather and the closing of businesses who donate to the fridge, there will be no refills done by the volunteers after Friday afternoon until further notice. Stay home and stay safe!! If you need assistance please take advantage of the warming centers in the community.

How blessed we are to live in a city with such a giving heart. Today, the fridge was filled three times with the usual items. Tonight it has blossomed because this amazing city has "Showed Out and Showed Up". The pantry has been empty all day because there was nothing on hand to fill it. Tonight it is full! How is unknown.

Leftovers were showing up in a steady stream from Conway family's Thanksgiving feasts. The Sharing Fridge is filled for the moment, but it won't last. The second photo shows, in part, what is now on hand to refill it tomorrow.

Thank you, Conway, for continuing to bless this local ministry which, in turn, blesses so many. Thank you, God, for making a way, when we too often doubt.

Regarding Thanksgiving, the holiday brings some change in the offerings found in The Sharing Fridge. Of course, we will have the usual foods found, with the exception of our foods from Hidden Creek Catfish (they are closed on Thursday for the holiday). What we have in the way of Thanksgiving foods depends solely upon the generosity of those who bring food from their abundance. If you plan on bringing bulk food to the Sharing Fridge it will work best to contact Larry at 501-733-2427 or Charlotte at 501-733-2397 to arrange meeting you to receive your food, over the weekend. This allows us to repackage it in takeout boxes before putting out for pickup.

Also those in need may go to two known Community Meals shown in these photos. One at Verona Italian Restaurant on Hwy 65N, and the other in the Kroger parking lot on Oak Street.

Once again Kathy Wyrick has shown her love of God and for this ministry by hosting a fundraiser in honor of her deceased mother's birthday. We appreciate your continuing efforts and passion, Kathy.

One last post for my birthday fundraiser in memory of my Mother.🕯 Two months of required food containers and packaging items can be provided if $34 more is donated. The Sharing Fridge at Salem UMC Conway, AR provides meals for at least 100 of our hungry neighbors daily. Thank you, again to the sweet friends who have donated money and or food!🩷 I am so grateful.
If you would like to donate, there are several ways to do so:

In the month of July the children attending the First Presbyterian Church Summer Day Camp program raised funds for the purchase of take out boxes for the Sharing Fridge at Salem UMC. Here are photos for their celebration when they learned how much they raised, approximately $300 (equivalent to a two month supply of the dinner take boxes)! They also decorated some of the boxes which were packed last week. If you got one of those, please tell us here. Thank you to the FPCSDC for your community support.
