Help us protect water quality in our community by volunteering with the CCU Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program! 🩵💧
We are looking for volunteers to sample specific sites along the Waccamaw River and in Murrells Inlet.

⏰Sampling occurs between 8 and 10 a.m. on two Tuesday mornings (Murrells Inlet) or two Wednesday mornings (Waccamaw River sites) a month.

👩‍🔬You’ll sample with fellow volunteers to collect basic water quality information, including pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, bacteria, and more. Data from all sites are analyzed by CCU scientists before being shared with local stormwater managers and community partners.

Interested? If the timing and location sound right for you, we will connect you with an experienced volunteer to shadow them at their sites and set up hands-on training at CCU with our staff scientists!
