Join us in congratulating Katrina on this amazing accomplishment of earning her Associate degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. 🎓

Over 3 years ago, Katrina joined our Parent’s On Point program, and since then, she has shown incredible strength, resilience, and determination. Through every obstacle and challenge, she continued to push forward and today we celebrate this major accomplishment with her! 👏

Here is a message from Katrina:

“Thank you Mrs. Anita so much for all the help you have given me and my family from Family Outreach.
My name is Katrina Zechman, and I recently graduated on May 12, 2026, with my degree in Early Care and Education. I am also a proud mom to a sweet little boy who has been one of my biggest reasons for pushing forward.

My journey was not always easy. There were times when I felt overwhelmed, tired, and unsure of how everything would work out, but I kept going one day at a time. Being a mom while trying to finish school and build a better future came with challenges, but it also showed me how strong I really am.

To any mom going through a rough patch, please know that your current situation does not define your future. It may feel hard right now, but every small step still counts. Keep showing up for yourself and your children, even on the days when it feels impossible.

I am so thankful for the support my family and I received along the way. The help we were given meant more than words can explain, and it made a real difference during a time when we needed it. I am proud of how far I have come, and I hope my story reminds another mom that she can keep going too.”

Parent’s On Point-Mother’s Celebration

Our partcipants had an amazing time celebrating what we proudly call Mother’s Month! From mixing and creating their own special scents to receiving thoughtful gifts, the evening was filled with love, laughter, and appreciation.

A special thank-you to our guest speaker, Stephanie McGuire (SCThrive), for honoring mothers and reminding us of the strength mothers carry every day. From sharing wisdom to encouraging moms to reflect on their “superpowers,” the conversation was inspiring, uplifting, and empowering. 💖

Thank-You to the amazing ladies from Myrtle Tree Ministries of Beach and Mrs. Sandra G., our dedicated Board Member, for helping make our Mother’s Month celebration so meaningful and memorable!

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU and well done to the AVID students at Whittemore Park Middle School!
These amazing students collected more diapers and baby wipes, along with bottles, infant supplies, and clothing for families in our community. Their kindness and generosity will make such a difference for local children and parents.
Each student is a shining example of what our public schools are doing — not only teaching Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, but also the importance of compassion, service, and kindness.
A very special thank-you to our student contact, Abel Dowdy. His emails were so professional and well-written, we honestly thought they were coming from a teacher! 👏
Thank you, Whittemore Park Middle School AVID students, for showing what community support truly looks like.
