A Story of Hope, Growth, and Independence
As we prepare for one of our residents to graduate from our program and move into her very own apartment, I'd like to share her testimony. This is why we are here and we couldn't do it without all of you, thank you!
"When I came to Bethlehem House, I was in my deepest, darkest despair. They believed in me until I could believe in myself."
Today, this incredible woman is celebrating milestones she once thought were impossible:
๐ 20 months of sobriety
๐ Saved $8,060 after paying off past debt, fees and fines.
๐ Earned her learner's permit
๐ Moved into her own apartment
๐ Working TWO jobs
๐ Gained confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose
She told us that she learned the value of communication, responsibility, honesty, gratitude, and hard work. She overcame challenges with punctuality, set meaningful goals, and achieved them one step at a time.
"I never thought I would even be able to hold one job responsibly, but now I have two, and to me, this is amazing."
She even welcomed a furry companion into her life, a kitty cat to share her new home and new beginning. ๐ฑ
Stories like this remind us why Bethlehem House exists. Recovery is possible. Independence is possible. Hope is possible.
Together, we're changing lives, one person, one goal, and one success story at a time. โค๏ธ
