Born in Atlanta, GA and a 50 year resident of Rockdale county with a family history in Rockdale county dating back more than 100 years, Terry Mahaffey values his community. Terry has been happily married to his wife Cindy of 36 years, where they raised their two sons Brian and Christopher. Brian and Christopher both graduated Heritage High School in Rockdale county where Brian played football and

Christopher played soccer, winning back to back State Championships. Brian was a Rockdale county Sheriff's Deputy for nearly five years until he made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the citizens of Rockdale county. Terry has served his faith as an ordained Baptist Deacon and his family as a husband and father. Terry has served in the community as a coach and mentor for numerous youth organizations throughout Rockdale county. Terry looks forward to continuing his service to Rockdale county as the Rockdale county Post 1 commissioner. Terry welcomes your thoughts, support, and donations to help him achieve his goal.

I would like to thank all who supported my campaign efforts, however, I have received a notice from the Board of Elections that a RE-COUNT has been officially called for in the Post 1 Board of Commissioners race. I don't have any additional information at this time except that the re-count will take place on June the 1st.

Wednesday afternoon I had the opportunity to meet a couple while I was campaigning outside the Parker road early voting location. The couple, Bob and Peggy, stopped to encourage me in my campaign efforts for the BOC Post 1 seat. Bob, Peggy and I talked for a little while and then they left.

Wednesday was a rather warm and sunny day and a bit windy, so while campaigning a person can work-up a thirst. I noticed the car that Bob and Peggy were in was pulling up to the curb and Peggy reached out and handed me a cold bottle of water. They had been out buying groceries after voting and decided to get a cold water for me and then drive back to Parker road and deliver it to me.

This is an example of the type of people that live here in Rockdale. I had not met Bob and Peggy before Wednesday and they went out of their way to aid me.

I know that there are many more people just like Bob and Peggy here in Rockdale and that's a big reason for me to try my best to win this election for the Post 1 seat so I can deliver the Public Service that they deserve.

Thank you Bob and Peggy. Thank you to all the others just like this kind couple that are deserving of more from their elected county officials.
