Rockdale County property owners recently received their 2026 Annual Notice of Assessment, and we want to help clear up any confusion.

This notice is not a tax bill, and no payment is due at this time. The Notice of Assessment is designed to show important information about your property, including its current and prior year value, any changes in value, exemptions or credits applied, estimated tax savings, and your right to appeal.

The updated format is the result of Georgia State Senate Bill 566, which revised property tax bills and assessment notices statewide to make them clearer and easier for taxpayers to understand.

Property owners have 45 days from the notice date to file an appeal or apply for a homestead exemption. For the 2026 Notice of Assessment mailed on May 29, 2026, the deadline is July 13, 2026.

Join Rockdale County Parks & Recreation and The Rahk Dance Academy for A Day of Fitness and A Night of Dance Showcase on Saturday, June 13, 2026!

Start the day at The Lawn at Wheeler Park for a FREE, all-ages fitness event from 9 AM to 2 PM featuring stretch & yoga, group training, line dancing, ballet demonstrations, fitness competitions, HIIT, Zumba and more!

Then, keep the energy going that evening with “Magic” — a special dance showcase at Heritage High School beginning at 7 PM. Tickets are $5, and all proceeds will help fund dance scholarships for Rahk Dance Academy students. Please note: No cash will be accepted at the door.

Bring the whole family out for a day filled with movement, music, community and fun!

RCPS Summer Meals start June 8, 2026, and run through July 16, 2026, Monday-Thursday (paused June 18 and June 29-July 3). Meals are at no cost! For children (up through age 18) living in Rockdale County, GA. Federal regulations require meals to be eaten on site (on air-conditioned school buses or at school locations).
