Meet Larry, Moe, and Curly — the self-proclaimed “Three Stooges of Ninefold Pest Control” — who rolled onto Main Street under the charming impression that we were throwing a neighborhood welcome parade just for them.

Spoiler alert: We weren’t.

What we were doing was enforcing Conyngham Borough’s solicitation ordinance. Turns out the boys were busy pitching pest control services without the required permit. Classic Stooge move.

Your police department stepped in with the appropriate action, and before you could say “wise guy,” the trio Segway’d (yes, really) their way back out of town — leaving Main Street once again free of uninvited slapstick sales pitches.

Remember, folks: Even if your business involves chasing bugs, you still need the paperwork. Permits matter. Ordinances exist.

Stay safe, stay permitted, and if you see any more wandering comedians with clipboards… give us a call.

Yesterday Conyngham Borough Police assisted Sugarloaf Township Police during the 11th Annual Ed Hess Memorial Run traveling through the township 🏍️.

🚨Motorist Advisory 🚨

The C.H.I.P.S. Trot N’ Brew event will take place in the borough tomorrow, Saturday, August 15, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Course overview
• Runners will depart the CVCO building via Goulds Way.
• They will proceed south on Main Street to Banks Avenue, then west to the VFW.
• From the VFW they will run east on Banks Avenue, then north on Main Street to the Brass Buckle.
• Runners will then continue south on Main Street, returning via Goulds Way to the finish line at the CVCO building.

Motorists are advised to use caution if travel through the affected area is necessary. Whenever possible, please choose an alternate route during the event to help ensure the safety of participants and minimize traffic disruption.

Meet DAVID SUARES JR.. Some of our residents may have already encountered Mr.SUARES this evening. He was going door-to-door soliciting for Home Genius Exteriors without a valid permit from the borough.

Conyngham Borough Police were notified of his presence in the borough and while on patrol located him on Orchard Lane conducting this unauthorized solicitation. The department has received numerous phone calls and in-person complaints about this type of activity over the past several months. We are actively working to address it.

What residents should do if someone knocks on your door:
🙅‍♀️Don’t open the door.
📄If you do open the door or are outside and approached, ask to see their permit issued by the borough. Solicitors are required to carry and show proof of a valid permit.
📞Call 911 and report it for police response.

Last evening, Conyngham Borough Police had the profound honor of participating in the procession and memorial service at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Officer Harayda proudly represented our department at this deeply meaningful event, where his cousin, U.S. Marine and FDNY Firefighter Charlie Anaya was honored for making the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, when the North Tower fell.

We are sincerely grateful to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation for inviting us to take part in this solemn and powerful remembrance. It was a privilege to stand among those who continue to honor the heroes of 9/11.

This day touched our hearts in a very personal way, especially for Officer Harayda and his family. We will never forget the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those we lost and we remain committed to carrying their memory forward.
