I’m excited to share that I’m back at Disability Specialists!

Returning feels like coming home. For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of representing individuals seeking Social Security disability, benefits, and advocating for those navigating what can often be a complex and overwhelming process.

Since joining the National Association of Disability representatives (NADR) Board of Directors in 2018, and serving as its president since September 2025, I’ve had the opportunity to to work with representatives from across the country and collaborate with Social Security leadership to help strengthen our profession and improve the disability adjudication process. I’m grateful to bring those experiences back to Disability Specialists.

I’m honored once again work alongside an exceptional team that shares a commitment to providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and client focus representation. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my career I’m excited for the next chapter, reconnecting with colleagues and referral partners, and continue to advocate for the people we serve.

Here’s to new beginnings, and in this case, a wonderful homecoming!

We are sad to hear of the loss of Sen. Johnson.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of former Sen. Doug Johnson.

Sen. Johnson served on the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board from 1973 to 2002, including several terms as board chair and vice chair. He worked tirelessly to expand and diversify the economy of the Iron Range. Sen. Johnson was instrumental in the passage of the Taconite Production Tax and in drawing several customer service centers to the region. In recognition of his efforts, the Douglas J. Johnson Economic Protection Trust Fund bears his name.

He was a friend to our region, our agency and our employees. May he rest in peace.
