Meeting people where they are is the heart of recovery! đź’™

In our latest podcast clip, Ryan Henry sits down with Justin Cantrell to discuss the importance of meeting individuals with unconditional love and care. We know that not everyone is ready or able to stop their drug use immediately, so we focus on providing life-saving resources like detox information, treatment options, and housing support right where they are.

Our goal is to build a supportive ecosystem that helps people find their path to a better way of life.

đź’™ Recovery Strengthens Families đź’™

One of the most meaningful outcomes of recovery is the opportunity to rebuild and restore family relationships.

Through the UC Recovery program, 126 families were reunited, helping parents, children, and loved ones reconnect and move forward together. Recovery doesn't just change individual lives—it creates stronger families, healthier homes, and more stable communities.

Every family reunification represents hope, healing, and the power of recovery support services working together to help individuals achieve lasting success.

📢 Recovery Core Principles Series

Recovery is not a journey that happens alone—it takes a community working together to create lasting change. As we continue our Recovery Core Principles Series, we're highlighting the importance of collaboration in building pathways to long-term recovery.

Core Principle #2: With strong relationships and partnerships in our communities, we can find long-term stability.

Individuals navigating substance use disorder often need support from multiple services throughout their recovery journey. When treatment providers, recovery organizations, healthcare professionals, employers, housing partners, and community leaders work together, they create the ecosystem needed to help individuals move from treatment into long-term recovery.

đź’™ We believe that strong partnerships strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and help create the stability needed for lasting recovery.

đźš— Transportation: A Critical Link in Recovery

Reliable transportation is often one of the biggest barriers individuals face when seeking recovery support. Through UC Recovery, 396 transportation referrals were made to help participants access treatment, recovery services, employment, healthcare, and other essential resources.

In addition, 100 participants secured transportation and/or obtained a driver's license, creating greater independence and improving their ability to maintain employment, attend appointments, and stay connected to recovery supports.

Recovery is about more than treatment—it's about removing barriers and creating opportunities. Every ride, every referral, and every license earned helps move someone closer to stability and long-term success.

đź’› When transportation barriers are removed, recovery becomes more accessible.

Recovery is Relational.

Recovery is not a journey meant to be walked alone. The encouragement, support, and belief of others can make a lasting difference in someone's path toward healing and growth.

Whether it's a family member, friend, peer support specialist, mentor, or recovery community, meaningful connections help create hope and remind individuals that recovery is possible.

At UC Recovery, we believe that strong relationships are at the heart of lasting recovery. Together, we can support, encourage, and empower one another every step of the way. đź’›

📢 Recovery Core Principles Series

Recovery is about more than overcoming addiction—it’s about creating a foundation for a healthier, more stable future. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing the core principles that help shape our approach to supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

Core Principle #1: We can find hope with structure, accountability, and the willingness to learn a new way.

Many individuals entering recovery have experienced lives filled with instability and chaos. Lasting recovery often begins with establishing positive routines, building healthy habits, and embracing accountability. Through support, guidance, and a willingness to grow, individuals can discover hope and create meaningful change.

đź’™ We believe that with the right support and a strong foundation, recovery is possible and a brighter future is within reach.
