It’s official! We have our Democratic candidates for the August 6th election.

While we didn’t have a contested primary, this incredible group of leaders has already made an impact by challenging the status quo and offering a stronger vision for our future. I couldn’t be more proud to be a Democrat and to be running alongside such dedicated and inspiring individuals.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, and I hope to see you all at the polls in August!

Don't want AI data centers in Putnam County? Me either. The way we stop them is by voting in our local elections in August.

🌈 Happy Pride Month from the Putnam County Democratic Party 🌈

This June, while some politicians in Nashville have chosen to designate the month as "Nuclear Family Month," we are reminded that no legislature has the authority to define what family means to every Tennessean.

Families come in many forms. They are built through love, commitment, support, and community, not by government decree. Across Putnam County and throughout Tennessee, we are proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ neighbors, friends, family members, and allies who help make our communities stronger, more vibrant, and more welcoming.

We see our community for all of its bright and beautiful colors. It is those colors, together, that bring the full spectrum of the rainbow into focus. Every person adds something unique and valuable to the fabric of our county, and our differences are not something to fear, they are something to celebrate.

This Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to equality, dignity, and opportunity for every Tennessean. We promise to continue advocating for policies that respect and protect all people, regardless of who they are or whom they love.

Because a stronger Tennessee is one where everyone belongs.

Happy Pride Month. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We will continue working toward a Tennessee that welcomes, respects, and values every member of our community. 🌈

See you all at on June 13 in 's Dogwood Park.

We want to bring recognition to one of our Upper Cumberland Democrats making waves not only on her campus of UT Knoxville, but as State Party Leadership. She is now the College Democrats Women's Caucus Chair. Maddie Rust is going to be a GREAT asset and the state party is fortunate to have her representing us at the national level.

We’re proud to officially endorse our Director of Development, Madeline Rust, for National Women’s Caucus Chair of the College Democrats of America!

A proven leader in Tennessee, Madeline has shown time and again that she’s ready to take the Women’s Caucus in a strong, positive direction.

Yesterday our Putnam County Democratic Party Chair, Billy George, spoke with delegates of the 2026 Tennessee Boys State here at Tennessee Tech University.

Having local Democratic leadership represented at one of the most prestigious civic programs in the country is exactly what building the next generation of engaged citizens looks like.

Thank you to TNDP Chair Rachel Campbell and the Tennessee Democratic Party for their continued investment in young people and civic education across our state. The future is bright, and it starts right here at home.

My first County Commission meeting changed my life.

I walked in ready to speak as a citizen participating in a process that belongs to all of us. Within minutes of adjournment, I was assaulted. The next day, I was detained. Months later, the charges were dropped with the stipulation I could not retaliate.

That experience showed me what happens when those in power stop listening and start silencing the people they’re meant to serve.

But my community showed up. You spoke out, offered support, and reminded me that real power comes from neighbors standing together.

That’s why I’m running.

Putnam County deserves leadership rooted in dignity, transparency, and accountability. I’ll fight for affordable housing, transparent government, and the protection of civil rights. I’ll ask hard questions, defend the public’s right to participate, and always put people before politics.

This campaign isn’t about me; it’s about us building a county where every neighbor has a voice.
