The world has lost a true leader. I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of President Jimmy Carter. He taught America and the world what it meant to be a leader and serve others with a deep, enduring, and personal faith. He served every day with unwavering dedication to service, faith, human rights, and peace. President Carter was a reason I wanted to enter public service as a leader and not a politician; to serve others and leave the world a better place than i found it. I will always cherish the opportunities I had to meet him. He will be a mentor for the ages.

"Well done; good and faithful servant."
