Middle school students are invited to join us for our first event of the year with field games, freezie pops, and a fun night together.

Join us from 6–7 PM at the ATMS Baseball Fields (230 Raider Drive). We’d love to see your middle schooler there, and friends are always welcome! 💛

What a week across the Upper Cumberland!!

Across all four of our high school ministries, Monday night was filled with fun, laughter, connection, and lots of chocolate syrup and paint!

We’re so grateful for the leaders who continue to show up, invest in students, and meet them right where they are. There’s something special about seeing each of our ministries come together with the same goal: showing kids they are known, loved, and never alone.

We can’t wait to see what this year holds 💛💛💛

There’s something special about the first club of a new school year.

Tonight, students will walk through the doors to laugh, reconnect with friends, meet leaders, and experience a place where they are genuinely known and welcomed.

That’s what Young Life is about. We don’t simply invite kids to a program. We show up in their lives, build real relationships, and remind them that they matter.

The countdown is on!!! Club is back in just one week!!! 🎉

We are so excited to kick off a new year of Young Life, filled with games, music, laughter, and great friends. If you've never been before, now is the perfect time to check it out, and if you've been going awhile, bring a friend along!

We've shared what Young Life is all about. We have showed countless pictures of Young Life camps all across the US. We've talked about summer staff and work crew and the impact it can have. Now it's time to hear from someone who experienced it this summer at Windy Gap - A Young Life Camp

This summer, students from the Upper Cumberland stepped out of their comfort zones to serve behind the scenes at camp, building friendships, growing in their faith, and helping create unforgettable experiences for others.

Don't just take our word for it! Here is a story directly from Saige Howard about what this summer on work crew meant to her. We hope her story encourages the next student who's wondering if they should say "yes" next summer, or to give Young Life a try! We are so grateful for people like Saige who say "yes" to serving 💛

What a summer it's been 🤩

From camps across the country to countless moments of faithful service, our Upper Cumberland Young Life family spent the summer saying "yes" to wherever God called them. Whether serving on work crew, summer staff, or as interns, they gave their time, energy, and hearts to serve others.

There were a few unexpected twists along the way, but through it all, God was faithful. New friendships were built, students encountered Jesus, and lives were changed in ways only He could orchestrate!

We're so grateful for every leader, volunteer, and student who made this summer so special. Thank you for serving so faithfully. We can't wait to see how God continues to work as we head into a new school year!! 💛

Behind every great ministry is a team of people who faithfully serve behind the scenes.

Today we're excited to introduce and celebrate our Committee Chair! Kevin Bowling's leadership, heart for Young Life, and commitment to the mission help make it possible for more students across the Upper Cumberland to know they are seen, known, and loved.

As you read his story below, we hope you're encouraged by Kevin's perspective on what has kept him passionate about Young Life for more than 30 years. We're so grateful for all that he and his wife, Janet, do for our ministry and the impact they continue to make!

"I have been around Young Life for over 30 years now and continue to be amazed by how the Lord uses the ministry. I am constantly surprised at the seeming endless supply of leaders willing to give their time and attention to seeking out younger students to share Jesus with them. One of the coolest things is witnessing the excitement of a leader telling how they have finally connected with a student they have been hanging out with, sometimes for months! Young Life provides me with hope for the future, seeing the light of Jesus presented with laughter and love."

Kevin and Janet, thank you. Your leadership, encouragement, generosity, and heart for this ministry continue to make a lasting impact. Thank you for serving our community and investing in the next generation!!

Ever wondered what Young Life is all about?

Young Life is a Christian ministry designed to create a fun and safe space for anyone and everyone to hear about Jesus, ask all their questions, and discover what a relationship with God can look like in their own life!

Our mission is simple: introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Here in the Upper Cumberland, we have five ministry areas - high school, middle school, students with disabilities, teen parents, and college students.

Whether you're a student, a parent, or just curious about what we do, we'd love for you to be a part of it!

Back to school season is here, and our leaders could not be more excited!

From cheering you on at Friday night games to handing out mints on early mornings (gotta start the day fresh), our Young Life leaders love showing up for students in the hallways, in the stands, and everywhere in between.

We are so pumped for a new school year and can't wait to see all of you soon. Here's to new classes, new friends, and a whole lot of fun ahead!
