Donation

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity has generously donated $4,800 to the Putnam County Fire Department Explorer Program.

This donation will directly support the purchase of upgraded gear, equipment, training resources, and educational materials for our members, enhancing both safety and learning opportunities within the program.

Established in 2001, the Explorer Program serves young men and women ages 14 to 18 who are interested in pursuing a career in the fire service. Over the past 25 years, we have witnessed countless adolescents grow through the program and continue their dedication to service with fire departments across the nation.

We are incredibly grateful for Pi Kappa Alpha’s support and commitment to investing in the next generation of firefighters.

The purpose of this page is to inform the public about the Putnam County Fire Department Explorer Program, established in 2001 to provide hands-on training opportunities for youth ages 14 to 18 who are interested in pursuing a career in the fire service.

We will regularly share information and photos highlighting activities within the program, with the goal of growing participation and encouraging more youth in Putnam County to explore an interest in the fire service.
