Ongoing dry fuels will yield elevated wildfire conditions through at least Sunday across the entire Four State Region. Outdoor burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are discouraged.

***ELEVATED FIRE DANGER***The National Weather Service has issued an elevated fire weather conditions for our area until 7 PM today. Low relative humidity, 10-15 mph winds with higher gusts, and critically dry grass. Extreme drought conditions exist for our area as well. Titus County remains under an outdoor burn ban at this time.

Reminder Titus Co is still under a burn ban!

🔥 3/16: VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY across the southeastern half of . The air is incredibly dry with dew points in the single digits or even below zero this afternoon. Winds are still gusting up to 20-30mph in the wake of yesterday’s system. Both of these are a recipe for rapid fire spread. Do not burn! ❌

🔥 EXTREME FIRE DANGER NEXT 3 DAYS across parts of Texas as noted in this image from the Texas A&M Forest Service.

The focus for high to extremely high danger today will be West Texas to the Trans-Pecos.

Tomorrow (Sunday) will be a huge concern with high winds and extreme fire danger for most folks west of I-35.

On Monday the high to extremely high fire danger sticks around across much of the state. Do not burn!
