Texas District Court
⚠️ THIS IS A SCAM! ⚠️
The Limestone County Constable’s Office Precinct 2 wants to warn citizens about a fraudulent text message currently circulating that claims to be from a “Texas District Court” regarding an outstanding traffic citation.
The message threatens arrest warrants, driver’s license suspension, vehicle impoundment, wage garnishment, and seizure of assets unless immediate payment is made through a suspicious website link.
Please remember:
• Texas courts do not typically notify citizens of warrants or traffic citations through unsolicited text messages containing payment links.
• Do not click on suspicious links.
• Do not provide personal information, driver’s license numbers, banking information, or payment details.
• Verify any court-related matter directly through the court or law enforcement agency using official contact information.
Red Flags in this scam:
❌ Threats of immediate arrest or asset seizure.
❌ Pressure to act immediately.
❌ Suspicious web addresses that do not end in official government domains such as .gov.
❌ Requests for online payment through unknown websites.
If you receive this message, delete it and report it as spam. If you believe you may have provided information or made a payment, contact your financial institution immediately and report the incident to law enforcement.
