SCAM ALERT

Had a report today that someone was impersonating me to try and convince someone to pay their "bond" or "fine" or they would be arrested. Just a few points:
1. If you have any warrant, we probably aren't going to call you and let you know.
2. I promise you, Freestone County is not advanced enough to accept payment for anything in bitcoin or any other crypto currency. Hell, my office can't even accept credit or debit cards.
3. If an official document has an e signature, it will be marked as such. (My hand writing is definitely not as nice as the one on that "order")

If you recieve a suspicious phone call, feel free to hang up and contact the Freestone County Dispatch directly at 903-389-3236 option #2 and they will confirm if who called you is a real officer, deputy or Constable in Freestone. If one of us is trying to get a hold of you, they will confirm it's us, and we will call you back.

You can also contact my office directly at 254-739-2518 or swing by and visit at 800 Main Street in Teague. Our office is not currently open 24 hours a day, but we do have a voicemail you can leave messages at if I'm not there.

Note: I blurred the persons name as they were the ones that reported the call and I didn't feel it was necessary to include their name.

🚨 WHERE ARE THE SPEEDERS? 🚨

🚔 Traffic Enforcement Update 🚔

Just an update for everyone who took the time to comment on my recent post.

I spent a considerable amount of time patrolling the LCR 460’s areas and FM 2838 based on the feedback I received from the community. During that time, I made several traffic stops (close to 20 in total) including one driver traveling 110 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.

At this time, my primary goal is education and awareness. As a result, the majority of the stops I made resulted in warnings rather than citations. My hope is that increased visibility and community awareness will encourage drivers to slow down before someone gets hurt.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who commented and shared locations where they’ve observed speeding and other dangerous driving behaviors. Your input is helping me identify problem areas and direct enforcement efforts where they’re needed most.

Please continue sending me locations and concerns. I’ll continue working through the areas that have been reported and doing my part to make Limestone County roads safer for everyone.

Slow down. Drive responsibly. Get home safe!
————————————————————-
Limestone County, I want to hear from you.

What roads, neighborhoods, or intersections are you seeing the worst speeding and driving behavior on? If there are areas where drivers are constantly flying through, running stop signs, or driving recklessly, let me know below.

My goal is to focus enforcement efforts where the community needs it most. I can’t be everywhere at once, but with your help we can identify problem areas and increase patrol presence where it’s needed.

Drop the location in the comments, and I’ll be paying attention.

Drive safe, Limestone County. The speed limit isn’t a suggestion. 🚔

Scam Awareness
Scammers count on fear, pressure, and confusion.

If someone calls, texts, or emails demanding money, gift cards, personal information, or immediate action, stop and verify before responding.

A real agency, bank, or business will not pressure you to make a rushed payment. When in doubt, hang up and call the organization directly using a number you trust.

Protect yourself. Protect your family. Share this reminder with someone who may need it.

Today, I want to take a moment to publicly thank the Limestone County Crime Stoppers Board and everyone involved with their organization for their generous donation to Limestone County Constable Precinct 2.

Their support is helping offset the cost of the in-car camera equipment that I use every day while serving the citizens of Limestone County. This equipment is vital for criminal investigations, traffic stops, citizen contacts, evidence collection, and ensuring transparency and accountability in law enforcement.

Many people may not realize that as a Constable in Limestone County, our office operates on a very limited budget. We receive our salary and a travel budget, but there is no dedicated equipment budget for many of the tools needed to effectively serve our community. Much of the equipment and technology used in my patrol vehicle has been paid for out of my own pocket. I have also been fortunate to receive assistance for cellular service, which allows me to operate my body camera system and internet connectivity inside my patrol vehicle.

The donation from Limestone County Crime Stoppers helps relieve some of that financial burden and allows me to focus on what matters most—serving the citizens of Precinct 2 and all of Limestone County. It helps ensure I can continue being proactive in law enforcement, conducting investigations, assisting other agencies, and being more than just a paper server and courtroom bailiff.

I remain hopeful that in future budget discussions, the Limestone County Commissioners Court will consider allocating funding for equipment and operational needs within Precinct 2. Regardless of what happens, I will continue to work hard every day for the people of this county. I truly love what I do, I love serving our citizens, and I am committed to doing everything I can as a law enforcement officer for Limestone County.

Again, thank you to Limestone County Crime Stoppers for your generosity, your support of law enforcement, and your commitment to keeping our communities safe. Your assistance makes a real difference, and I am truly grateful.
