Just a friendly reminder that brush, branches, logs, and chunks of wood do NOT go in the city compost pile.

The compost pile is for grass clippings and garden waste only.

We do have a designated brush pile area located just outside the city limits where brush and wood items can be hauled. Unfortunately, someone recently dumped a large pile of brush and wood at the compost site.

So… if this happens to be your pile, please load it back up and take it to the brush pile area. 😊

If you have questions about where the brush pile is located, please contact Jes Leighty at 712-999-7749.

Thank you for helping keep our compost area clean and usable for everyone!
