🚨 SCAM ALERT! 🚨

CRPD has received multiple reports today about a scam phone call being received by residents. The caller claims to be a C**n Rapids police officer and tells the resident that they missed their court date. The victim is then told to either turn themselves in, or pay a fine with cash or gift cards. The scammer then attempts to arrange for the cash to be picked up.

CRPD does NOT conduct business this way and will never ask for money over the phone. PLEASE always verify information before sending money or giving out sensitive personal information.
