Our BSO Cooper City Citizen Observer Patrol (COP) volunteers recently participated in an informative presentation led by Disability Advocacy and Support Specialists, Inc.

The presentation focused on autism awareness, wandering prevention, and water safety, providing our volunteers with valuable knowledge to better recognize potential risks and respond to situations involving individuals who may need additional assistance.

Please be advised that the intersection of Flamingo Road and Griffin Road is experiencing traffic disruptions due to a traffic crash.

All northbound lanes on Flamingo Road are currently shut down. Southbound lanes have reopened; however, traffic remains affected in all four directions.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, seek alternate routes, and expect delays.

Please be advised that due to a traffic crash at Stirling Road and SW 90th Avenue, Stirling Road is currently closed in both directions.

Traffic is being diverted as follows:

Westbound traffic: Diverted north onto SW 90th Avenue.

Eastbound traffic: Directed to make a U-turn near Cooper City High School.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, seek alternate routes, and anticipate delays.

Our very own Sgt. Sisson had the pleasure of serving as a judge for Griffin Elementary School’s Red Ribbon Week Door Decorating Contest!

Students and teachers showcased their creativity with colorful, imaginative displays promoting the importance of making healthy choices and living drug-free.

A little kindness can go a long way!

Our BSO Cooper City deputies had a wonderful time spreading smiles and brightening days as part of Petal It Forward, an initiative that encourages random acts of kindness through the simple gesture of giving flowers.

The idea is simple: receive two bouquets, keep one for yourself, and share the other with someone else to help spread kindness throughout the community!

A special thank you to De La Flor for generously providing the beautiful flowers that helped make this initiative possible!

COMMUNITY TRAFFIC ALERT | WALK-A-PALOOZA at CCE

Cooper City Elementary's Walk-a-Palooza is coming up this Friday, October 9!

To help ensure a safe event for students and participants, roadways surrounding Cooper City Elementary will close immediately following morning school drop-off at approximately 8 a.m.

Motorists should expect temporary road closures and traffic impacts in the area.

🚗 Please plan ahead and allow extra time if traveling through the area.
👮 BSO Cooper City deputies will be on scene assisting with traffic control and helping ensure a safe event for everyone.

Today, we were proud to join our partners at BSO Fire Rescue for a traditional push-in ceremony, welcoming a new apparatus into service.

The push-in tradition dates back to the days of horse-drawn fire equipment, when firefighters had to manually push their apparatus back into the station after returning from a call. Today, the tradition continues as a symbolic way to welcome new equipment and celebrate the firefighters who will put it to work serving our community.

We’re grateful for the continued partnership between law enforcement and fire rescue and for the dedicated men and women who work every day to keep Cooper City safe.

Here’s to many years of service!
