Carver-Edisto Middle School Makes History!

Carver-Edisto Middle School made history by establishing a nine-student Security Patrol as a Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunity under the guidance of Career Specialist Peggy Moore.

The students will receive guidance from Mr. Elmore, SRO Profit, and Dr. Taylor, Assistant Principal. They were officially sworn in by Sheriff Ravenell of the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, witnessed by Major Williams.

Mrs. Karen James, Principal, pinned the students, and SRO Profit jacketed them, officially welcoming them into their new roles.

This exciting initiative gives students hands-on experience in leadership, responsibility, public safety, and career exploration.

A special thank you to Commander Keniesha Grimes and Pamela Fraizier for delivering the bookbags to our school. Your generosity and support mean so much to our students and school community!

Today, students will bring home their two-week grade reports. This is an additional communication effort that we implemented last year to help keep families informed of their child's academic progress.

Our goal is to provide parents with timely information so you can support, encourage, and intervene when needed to help your child be successful.

On Wednesday we celebrated the CEMS 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony and recognized an outstanding group of students for their hard work, leadership, and dedication throughout the school year.
