Late Sunday night, May 10, 2026, the Copiague Fire Department was alerted to an involved car fire in the American Venice section of Copiague.

Crews from Engine 1-3-5, Heavy Rescue 1-3-3, and Engine 1-3-9 responded quickly and were able to rapidly extinguish the blaze. Operations were wrapped up in approximately 30 minutes.

All units operated under the command of Assistant Chief Robert Weiss.

Great work by all responding members for their quick and professional response.
