TRAFFIC ADVISORY – ROADSIDE MOWING

Motorists should expect single-lane traffic along Quarry St. from Mauch Chunk Rd. to the township line on Monday 10/26/2026 between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm. This is due to roadside mowing operations. Township employees will be managing traffic control to ensure the safety of both motorists and road crews. This will be a mobile work zone.

Please use caution, reduce your speed, and be prepared for brief delays while traveling through the work area. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain our roadways.

On Thursday, 10/22/2026, please be advised that Coplay Creek Road will be closed from Levans Rd. to Coffeetown Rd. from 9:00 am to 2:30pm to allow for tree work.

On Thursday, our North Whitehall seniors gathered at Union Lutheran Church for our annual Senior Day, which was filled with fellowship, good food from Kornfeind’s, and lasting memories. We were so happy to welcome local vendors, enjoy a complimentary lunch and refreshments together, play bingo for prizes, and offer flu vaccines through LVHN to help everyone stay healthy this season.

Thank you to everyone who came out, an to our wonderful vendors for their support. We’d like to also thank the Upper Lehigh Lions Club for volunteering at our Senior Day! Days like this remind us what community is all about. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Fall Foliage Jam & Mini Trunk-or-Treat! 🎃🍂

The Steel Creek Band and The Castaway Band absolutely rocked the stage, and we loved seeing over 15 decorated trunks handing out goodies to all our trunk-or-treaters. When Mother Nature forced us to move our original Trunk-or-Treat date, you all pivoted on short notice without missing a beat. Thank you for your flexibility and for helping make the Fall Foliage Jam & Mini Trunk-or-Treat such a success.

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

Open Space EIT Referendum – On the Ballot November 3rd, 2026

This November, North Whitehall Township residents will have the opportunity to vote on a referendum that would establish a dedicated 0.15% Earned Income Tax (EIT) for farmland and open space preservation. If approved by voters, the funding would be legally restricted to preserving, acquiring, maintaining, and improving open space throughout the township. Don't we already have ordinances that create open space? Why do we need to be taxed for it now?

Partially. Development ordinances require some open space within new developments, but they do not preserve large tracts of land in strategic locations. Direct preservation allows the Township to protect important properties before development occurs.
