Is your current 3rd grader interested in instrumental music next year? Join us at the Instrumental Music Exploration Area during the 23rd Annual Festival of the Arts at Parkland High School.

Saturday | 10 AM – 2 PM

Students can:
• Hold and explore different instruments
• Learn how each instrument sounds and works
• Discover which instrument may be the perfect fit
• Get excited for FREE instrumental music lessons in 4th grade

A Night to Kick Into Summer Reading!

Join us for an action-packed evening where reading meets karate. Families will enjoy a live karate demonstration, build a summer reading kit, and get ready to become “reading ninjas” through focus, discipline, and fun. Snacks and drinks provided.

Happy Paraprofessional Appreciation Day!

These fantastic staff members within the Parkland School District deliver targeted support to students who may need extra help while they work alongside their teacher counterpart. Paraprofessionals are the unsung heroes of our education system. Join me in celebrating all of our paraprofessionals within our district. You are certainly appreciated.

Congratulations to Parkland's Athletic Director Andy Stephens for being inducted into the Lehigh Valley Basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday during the Lehigh Valley Senior All-Star Classic for his accomplished careers as a player and coach. He was a two-time all-conference selection (1991-92) at Allentown Central Catholic. He continued his career at Elizabethtown College before transferring to Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales (now DeSales University). Stephens was a three-time all-conference performer and 1,000-point scorer for DeSales. Stephens was the head boys basketball coach at Emmaus from 2004-08, winning 74 games and a league title. He then took over the program at Parkland. In 15 seasons under his leadership, the Trojans were 277-22 while earning three league titles, seven District 11 crowns and 11 PIAA tournament berths.
