Coppell ISD Education Foundation

Coppell ISD Education Foundation The Coppell ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to generating and distributing resources to the CISD to provide funding for new innovative programs.

Building a solid foundation…that’s what the Coppell ISD Education Foundation is all about. Although the Foundation operates independently from Coppell ISD, the Foundation contributes critical financial and material support to our Coppell schools. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation chartered in June 2000 to provide financial support in addition to that which is provided by the Coppell ISD operating budget.

Under normal circumstances, the Coppell ISD Education Foundation’s Super Stars program recognizes students at our elementary and middle school students and employees across the district. But as you know, our circumstances during the first nine weeks of the school year were anything but normal.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to rethink every approach to our way of life. Thanks to their outstanding principals, the 18 schools of Coppell ISD quickly adapted to the rapidly evolving situation and served students both remotely and in person. That’s why these principals are our honorary Super Stars for the first nine weeks.

The Coppell ISD Education Foundation is proud to recognize the fantastic work our 18 principals did to bring order to the chaos. Their effort has put our youngsters on solid ground, and their unflinching step forward sets a shining example of grace under pressure for our students to follow.

We have several foreign exchange students coming to Coppell High School for the 2020-2021 who need loving families to host them! They have their own spending money, and their own health insurance. They have to pass a rigorous English competency test, have great grades and teacher recommendations in order to participate in our program. Please let me know if you think you can help! Carmen is a 15 year old girl from Spain. Carmen loves playing basketball, skiing, surfing and skating. Carmen hopes to become a teacher one day because she loves kids (especially her two younger brothers) and helping them learn. Kerman is a 15 year old boy from Spain. He says his parents are wonderful cooks and he enjoys making meals with them. He also plays the guitar and participates in track and field. He likes to play chess and build small robots, as well. Emma-Sophie is a 16 year old girl from Germany. She loves to dance, read, play badminton, ski, and play the piano. She is also very interested in joining a cheerleading team. Itziar is a 14 year old girl from Spain. Itziar loves to play basketball and would even like to try out cheerleading. Itziar also likes cooking, shopping, photography, painting, and dancing. She loves spending time with her little brother and parents. Jinui is a 14 year old boy from South Korea. He loves to play soccer. His favorite foods are sushi, ramen, and salmon. He also really likes playing with dogs and spending time with his friends. They love watching movies together. Coming to the United States is a lifelong dream for many of our students. They are so thankful for the opportunity and cannot wait to meet their host family!
Thank you so much for putting on such a wonderful banquet honoring the top 5% in the high schools in Coppell as well as the many talented educators in CISD! It was such a lovely evening! We really enjoyed all the speeches, decorations, programs, and slideshows. We truly appreciate everyone in the CISD Education Foundation and for all their effort that went into it and for making it a wonderful, memorable evening. Many blessings to you all!
Perfect night for take out!
