The City of Coppell has been notified of positive mosquito samples for West Nile virus near your neighborhood. County trucks will conduct spraying on your street during the evening hours of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday., August 3, 4 and 5, 2015. All spraying will take place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather conditions permitting.
Should weather conditions not be conducive for spraying, trucks will conduct spraying the next available evening in order to complete the required applications.
Humans and pets should avoid direct contact with the spray by remaining indoors as the truck passes through.
Please continue practicing source reduction strategies to help eliminate standing/stagnant water from containers and low-lying areas in and around your home and business. By naturally reducing mosquito populations you also help to limit the amount of chemical pesticides needed to combat West Nile Virus.
