Copper River Valley Soil and Water Conservation District Protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable agriculture in the Copper River Basin.

Soil and water conservation districts are comprised of cooperators within a geographical area, who elect a five-member board of supervisors to direct the work of the District. Board positions are volunteer and they receive no compensation for their work on the local board.

Save The Date! The 2017 AG Forum is being held on April 29th, from 9-4pm at the Glennallen Elementary Gym. There will be speakers talking about building healthy soils, grain production, biochar and so much more! The Copper River Wrestling Club will be selling a delicious lunch and there will be vendors selling locally made agriculture and resources based goods. While you are there, stop by the information booths and load up on some great information! Hope to see you there!

Copper River Valley Soil and Water Conservation District invites you to submit a bid for road maintenance on the Tonsina North Ag Development Road: Harris Way. Harris Way is located at the end of Northwood Avenue (MP 94 west of the Richardson Hwy and 1.2 miles down). Harris Way north and Harris Way south both require 100 yards of pit run gravel and grader services (approximately 1 mile in each direction). Entire job requires 200 yards of pit run, grader, and dump truck service. Bids due July 22nd. Please call 320-1800 or 259-5999 with any questions.
